I stopped teaching in 2016 but kept in touch with my students and I created several rounds of "spirit animals" that I designed based on their personalities and my experiences with them. This was the second series of the pieces I created. I visited them at K-State at the end of their final semester to deliver these pieces to them in person and to celebrate their accomplishments, which I hope to have had a small hand in supporting.
This was a labor of love and passion for those that I have had the privilege of teaching.
