The NEOCON 2017 booth was an opportunity for the Turf Team to flex their muscles in showcasing the new product line-up for 2017.  For this installation, which won best Small Booth, I led in the design of the booth along with a portion of the product design.  I also prepared the union contractors with the drawing set showing the installation assembly (which had to go up in three days, opening the crates to showtime).

Making the installation fully interactive was a key conceptual component at the onset of the design problem.  The booth itself is a design lab and utilized magnetic connections on the walls and within the baffles to enable the display to be take down, examined and plugged into the corresponding connection details and then replaced.  The booth also blended two product lines – baffles and wall installations – into a seamless acoustic shelter which demonstrated the functional capacities of the product – other groups showcased the products in the booth, our booth was the product.

For this booth, I developed the design, ran the project in production and oversaw the installation in the Chicago Mart by union laborers. I developed a number of the product concepts that were showcased here that would later be launched products with Turf.
